2.0 MVA HV & LV UPGRADE + VESTAS V29 TURBINE CONSTRUCTION

JJ Loughran working with our friends Bettink Service Team and Beattie Crane Hire to install a V29 Turbine. JJ Loughran were responsible for all electrical design, installation and commissioning works onsite including new 11kV switchgear and cabling, transformer, associated LV switch boards and G59 protection.

  • Complete HV and LV install of quarry main incoming power transformers 1250kVA and V29 Wind Turbine
  • Installation of 11KV HV Radial network to power a total of one transformers and to leave provisions for an additional at a later stage.
  • Installation of Schneider 2 Piece Ring Master Switch Board;
    • Quantity 1 * SE6-S1 Switch Disconnector
    • Quantity 1 * CE2-T2 Circuit Breakers
  • Supply and installation of Quantity 1;
    • 1250Kva 11KV to 415 Volt Low Loss ONAN Transformers
  • Design and supply of Quantity 1 * LV switchboards to 2500A to include;
    • Form 4 Type 2 build,
    • Modbus metering on all outgoing circuits,
    • Top & Bottom cabling entry to utilise existing cable lengths.
  • Installation of 5/6 Limb Voltage Transformer 11000/63.5 for onsite NVD protection to allow onsite generation via wind turbine and installation of G59 Interpro relay,
  • Installation of Vestas V29 50M Hub Height wind turbine.
  • Completing contract over a 4 week period
  • Contract Duration – 1 Month
  • Customer Location – Core Aggregates, Cookstown, N.Ireland
