We are currently seeking a Junior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced engineering environment.

Job Description

Working alongside experienced JJ Loughran electrical engineering staff, the Junior Electrical Project Engineer will support the delivery of control panel designs for construction and supply to customers throughout the UK & Europe. The role involves assisting with control panel design activities and liaising with the production department to ensure panels are manufactured in line with customer specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the rollout of electrical engineering works by liaising with management, site lead engineers, and customers.
• Assisting with the coordination of installation standards, personnel, budgets, and project schedules.
• Helping to prepare method statements and documentation to ensure works are completed safely and in line with regulations.
• Gaining experience working both on-site and from head office.
• Assisting with project valuations and tracking variations on ongoing projects.
• Supporting the management of as-fitted drawings and handover documentation for clients.

Essential

• Successful completion of, or working towards, a MEng / BEng / BSc / HNC / HND qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Building Services Design, or related disciplines.
• A full driving licence or working towards obtaining one.
• A strong willingness to learn, develop technical and project engineering skills, and grow within a fast-paced engineering company.

Desirable

• Any placement, internship, or graduate experience in a similar engineering role.
• Basic knowledge or experience using CAD software.

Place of Work

• Based at JJ Loughran Head Office, Cookstown, Northern Ireland.
• The role will involve visiting client sites as required.

Working Hours

• 38 to 42 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday.
