Complete HV upgrade of factory’s incoming 11KV supply from 1.8MW to 6.0MW

  • Complete HV upgrade of factory’s incoming 11KV supply from 1.8MW to 6.0MW
  • Design, installation & commissioning 2 Quantity of HV switchboards with remote switching control panel which will be located adjacent to the switch room door for all new circuit breakers;
    • 6 Quantity of 12Kv UniGear 550 three phase air insulated switchgear that is site assembled fitted with protection relays and withdrawable circuit breaker.
    • 4 Quantity of 12Kv UniGear 550 three phase air insulated switchgear that is site assembled fitted with protection relays and withdrawable circuit breaker.
    • 1 Quantity of 6 way remote switching control panel.
    • 1 Quantity of 4 way remote switching control panel.
  • Supply and installation 3 Quantity of 2000Kva uninhibited mineral oil transformer 11Kv to 415volts –
    • Two level oil temperature sensor and emergency stop push button installed on each transformer.
    • All three transformers to be installed on a 12m level external platform with an individual oil bund for each transformer.
  • Completed a fault level & discrimination study for the existing and proposed factory as detailed below –
    • Fault level study of new system from NIE point of supply, down to and including each LV switchboard incomer.
    • Production of protection settings for the HV relays and LV switchboard incomer.
    • Document the study including protection grading curves and narrative report.
    • Present and discuss the report with the client’s representatives.
  • Installation of cable ladder containment from existing HV switch room to the proposed factory extension switch room on 12m floor level for the HV sub-mains cable containment between the two new switchboards.
  • Installation of 12Kv rated single core steel wired armoured sub-mains cabling from the existing HV switch room to the proposed factory extension switch room to supply the proposed HV switchgear that will be supplying 3 Quantity of 2000Kva transformers.
  • Installation of cable ladder containment from proposed HV switch room to the proposed transformers on the 12m floor level external platform for the HV sub-mains cable containment between the proposed switchboard and transformer.
  • Installation of 12Kv rated single core steel wired armoured sub-mains cabling from the proposed HV switch room to the proposed 2000Kva transformers.
  • Installation of 4 Quantity temporary generators rated at 800Kva and fitted with external 24 hour fuel tank to allow the existing factory run production 24 hours a day while JJ Loughran extend the existing HV sub-mains cabling and divert into the proposed HV switchgear in the existing switch room.
  • Dismantling and removal from site the redundant HV switchgear.
  • Supply of all onsite crane and forklift hire for the completion of all electrical works on site.
  • LV installation of NIE proposed  switch room as to NIE specification,
  • Completed a two week power factor and harmonic study of the existing 3 quantity 800Kva transformers supplying the existing factory and issued a comprehensive report outlining the following details –
    • Method taken to complete this study,
    • Summary of findings,
    • Data analysis trends,
    • Harmonic compliance detail to IEC61000-3-6,
    • Compliance detail to ITIC,
    • Recommendation of remedial works to mitigate any adverse events recorded and protect the safe operation of the installation
  • Complete design of entire project to include all electrical aspects as detailed above, new building design for HV equipment and services, liaising with client, utility supplier and building contractor to adhere to strict deadline for completion of works.
  • Completing contract ahead of schedule over a 12 week period within a quantity of two, six hours shutdown.
  • Contract Duration – 3 Month
