Helping to keep water and moisture out of motors with Inpro-Seal’s bearing isolator

JJ Loughran have been asked more and more to help improve electric motors IP performance especially in food & beverage industry were electric motors and gearboxes work in very challenging environments.
We can do this with a number of methods, from using high grade sealant to act as a gasket on all spigot joints, to resin filling the chamber between terminal box and stator to help improve IP performance. We are also fitting more and more Inpro-seal bearing isolators.
Inpro-Seal’s Bearing Isolator is a two-part dynamic seal consisting of a stator and a rotor … working in concert to form a non-contacting compound labyrinth seal – with no wearing parts.

When at rest, the patented Inpro-Seal VBX ring effectively seals the labyrinth – blocking condensation and other contaminants from entering the bearing housing.

During operation, centrifugal force lifts the VBX ring away from contact with the stator to create a non-wearing permanent seal. Outside contamination attempting to enter the bearing housing is captured in the outer labyrinth paths and expelled through a port in the stator.

Bearing lubricant is captured in the inner portion of the labyrinth and directed back into the bearing housing.

Custom engineered designs can be split for easy installation and come with an unconditional performance guarantee.

Inpro-Seal Bearing Isolators ensure permanent bearing protection – increasing the reliability of your rotating equipment.
