On St Patricks Day 2020, JJ Loughran were called on to help solve a critical application, a motor and gearbox had failed on a customer’s site.

For most this would not have been an easy fix, however as JJ Loughran are the only Motovario Assembly Centre (MAC) locally, and coinciding with being the largest stockholder of ABB Motors. It was a standard task.

Our technical engineering team were able to pair our high-quality Motovario double reduction gear box with a 70mm shaft and a 3.00KW ABB Cast Iron Motor with a 317:1 ratio, as a direct replacement for the Failed SEW unit. The Motovario gear unit utilized the same footprint as the failed SEW Eurodrive unit.
